NFC Product Warranty

We warranty Smart Tap NFC chips against manufacturing defects. If a chip is defective and stops working under normal use, we will replace it.

NFC chips are rated for years of normal use. Lifespan can be shortened by physical damage, extreme heat, or improper placement.

This warranty does not cover physical damage (cuts, punctures), water damage beyond the chip's spec, or damage from improper placement — for example, placing the chip over metal that blocks the signal.

If a chip stops working, contact us with your order number. We will verify and send a replacement chip or a replacement product. You may need to return the defective item.
